Blazer suddenly finds himself floating over what appears to be the ocean. Looking down, he sees a school of fish swimming in the water below, feeling his arm raise and charge a shot to attack them.

"No, please don't." Blazer says as he fires a blast of energy at the fish. Much to his surprise, the shot ricochets off the surface of the water, scaring the fish away instead of harming them!

"What? What just happened?" Blazer asks, trying to lower his arm before it fires any more energy blasts.

"Welcome to my home, Blazer." An unfamiliar male voice speaks out to the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction. Blazer feels himself instinctively turn to face the source of the voice, seeing a regal looking man dressed in white and gold armor.

"Who are you?" Blazer asks as he fires a burst of blue and orange energy from his eyes at the unfamiliar person against his own will! "Oh no, watch out!"

The mysterious gentleman suddenly grows a large pair of glowing wings that flap forward and shield him from the attack! "Don't worry about me, I am more than capable of handling myself. Angel was right to bring you here, although she should have asked me first. Such a reckless girl, that one."

"Who are you?" Blazer asks as he feels himself propelling himself forward to attack the seemingly divine being that Angel must have brought him to for help. "I'm really sorry, I can't stop myself from doing these things!"

"Oh, don't you worry yourself about this." the glowing winged stranger replies, easily parrying a punch, followed by a kick from Blazer, then swinging around behind him to dodge another punch before putting Blazer in a sleeper hold! "You aren't the first to attempt such a blasphemous act as attacking one of the Lords of Light. My name is Neville, and I am the Light Lord of Balance."

"Stop that! What are you doing?" Angel shouts, descending from above with her sword drawn. "I brought you here to help Blazer, not hurt him!"

"I know that. He is the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction; he can handle a lot more abuse than this." Neville replies, striking Blazer hard on the top of his head as if giving him a noogie. Blazer cries out in pain as his body struggles to free itself from the divine lord's grasp to no avail. "As powerful as he is in Paragon form however, he is no match for one such as myself."

"I don't want to hurt you!" Blazer shouts back. "My body is acting on its own! It's been doing so ever since I got this power!"

"Yes, about that. You didn't know this would happen, did you Angel?" Neville asks, giving her a stern look while still restraining Blazer. "You know better than to tamper with powers you don't quite understand. The poor boy acts against his own wishes now; nothing left to do but put him down."

Angel's eyes widen. "What? No, you can't!"

"That sounds a bit extreme, don't you think?" A new female voice is heard asking, as a cloud of light blue smoke starts to appear. From the smoke emerges a woman with red skin and long, light blue hair tied in a ponytail. She is dressed in long gloves and high heeled boots, white in color, and wears a black dress with light blue frills that reminds Blazer of the clothes worn by Him  for some reason.

"Lillum, I've got this well in hand." Neville says to the demon woman, looking at Blazer with a smile. "This is my wife Lillum, the Dark Lady of Balance. Say hello."

"Hello ma'am, It's a pleasure to meet you." Blazer says, sounding as friendly as ever despite his struggling to break free from Neville's grasp to attack.

"Oh he is such a well mannered boy, and so adorable!" Lillum says, tilting her head and smiling happily at Blazer. "Can we keep him Neville?"

"You want to adopt him?" Neville asks, looking a bit confused. "I'm afraid we can't really do that. Angel awakened him as the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction, and now he's out of control."

"So? We just have to show him how to take back control." Lillum says, making a gesture with her hand that Neville takes as his cue to release Blazer. "Don't be shy young man. Come attack me as best you can!"

"I doubt I have a choice." Blazer replies as he immediately lunges at Lillum, launching a volley of punches at her. Lillum disappears right before Blazer reaches her, reappearing right behind Blazer and placing a hand on his shoulder.

"You missed me, sweetheart." Lillum tells him in a calm, understanding sounding tone. She pats Blazer softly on the shoulder, but this seemingly harmless gesture causes Blazer to fall forward, as though he were struck hard in the back by a speeding train rather than tapped lightly on the arm by a woman.

"Do you see what I mean, dear?" Neville asks his wife. "Blazer is in no condition to learn how to control this power. Best to get rid of him now before he does something he won't forgive himself for."

"Nonsense. He's only having difficulty controlling himself because this Paragon form was not meant for him." Lillum replies, her tranquil smile never leaving her face.

"What does that mean?" Angel asks. "Blazer was never meant to be the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction?"

"Not exactly." Neville answers. "Blazer was a last minute change in the grand scheme. It occured after the original choice for the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction allowed himself to be altered beyond recognition."

"Perhaps you should tell Angel who it was supposed to be." Lillum suggests to her angelic husband. Neville looks at his demonic wife as though she had suggested eating something gross.

"I want to know! Who was supposed to be the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction?" Angel shouts, nearly demanding to be told. "If Blazer was not meant for this, then who was?"

"It was Burn dear. Burn was supposed to be the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction." Lillum answers. Angel's face immediately goes pale upon hearing this.

"No. It can't be..."

"Oh, now look what you've done!" Neville scolds Lillum. "Don't you think Angel feels bad enough, having doomed such an innocent young man the way she did? Yes, Burn was the original choice for the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction. His trial of sacrifice would have been leading those two thugs Brick and Butch to helping him wipe out Viletown."

"Once he was successful, Jazenok Blackskull the Voidbringer would have awakened Burn as the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction as his reward." Lillum tells Angel, finishing the story for her husband.

"Blazer stopped him." Angel tells the Lord and Lady of Balance. "Burn would have succeeded if not for Blazer; I went to Townsville and saved him from being destroyed by the Powerpuff Girls, who had wrongly accused Blazer for Burn's evil actions against them. He agreed right away to help me. He should have been angry for what happened to him, but he wasn't. He should not have wanted to help me, but he did!"

"Looks like fate chose a rather cruel means of punishing Blazer for interfering." Neville says, pointing at the orange streak of light heading for them. "Here he comes again. Angel, you started this incident, and I think it's high time you took responsibility for it."

"I can't hurt Blazer." Angel says, shaking her head. "I won't!"

"Don't let Neville give you the wrong idea." Lillum replies, kneeling down to hug Angel and talk softly into her ear. "You aren't going to be fighting Blazer with the intent to harm him, you are going to be fighting Blazer with the intent of training him."

"How? How will any of this be proper training for him?" Angel asks.

"Trust me dear. Would I steer you wrong?" Lillum asks.

"I don't know, you are a demon." Neville replies with a playful smirk, which causes Lillum to frown at him in response.

"Just what is THAT supposed to mean, husband?" Lillum asks, looking quite upset. "Just because you're an angel, that means you never told anyone a lie before? Is that it?"

"I didn't mean to offend you, sweetheart; it was just a joke!" Neville says, raising his hands in a "please don't kill me" gesture directed as his wife. "Angel, you worry about Blazer, all right? Lillum and I will be over here."

Angel nods and turns away from the bickering couple, focusing on Blazer as he flies toward her, prepared for another attack he may or may not have any control over.
Brought to another reality by Angel, Blazer meets a married couple who claim to be able to help him control himself as the Powerpuff Paragon of Destruction, or at the very least destroy him before he can cause any real harm.
